Am I Allowed a Passenger?
Passengers are not generally permitted during testing. However, Grade A (or above) ARDS instructors may sit alongside drivers, provided the vehicle has a suitable passenger seat.
👨🏫 Instructor Passengers
Drivers may be accompanied by a qualified instructor during a test day, provided that:
- The instructor holds a Grade A (or above) ARDS qualification
- Proof of qualification is presented at sign-on
- The vehicle has a suitable passenger seat installed
This allows instructors to provide coaching and guidance from within the vehicle.
⚠️ Important to Know
- Proof of ARDS qualification must be provided during sign-on.
- Instructors without the appropriate qualification may not be permitted on circuit as passengers.
- A passenger seat must be fitted and suitable for use.
