What If I Don’t Have My Driving Licence on the Day?

If you’re unable to bring your physical licence, you can still take part by providing a valid DVLA check code and licence summary.

🪪 Option 1: Bring Your Physical Licence

• This is the preferred option
• Your licence will be checked at sign-on

💻 Option 2: Use a DVLA Check Code

If you can’t bring your licence, you must:

1. Generate a DVLA check code online
2. Download or save your licence summary (PDF)
3. Bring both:
   • The check code
   • The licence summary (printed or on your phone)

📝 How to Generate Your DVLA Code

• Go to the DVLA service
• Enter:
  • Your driving licence number
  • Your National Insurance number
  • Your postcode
• Then:
  • Select “Share your licence information”
  • Click “Create a code”
  • Download or save your licence summary PDF

⚠️ Important to Know

• The DVLA check code is valid for 21 days only
• You must provide:
  • The check code, AND
  • The licence summary PDF
• ❌ Screenshots of individual pages (e.g. “Your details”, “Penalties”) are not accepted
• ❌ Without valid licence proof, you will not be able to take part
