Can I Use a Pushbike Around the Circuit?
Good news, bikes are welcome at Silverstone! We permit both manual bikes and E-bikes for riders aged 14 and over who meet our EAPC requirements, details of which can be found below.
Please do keep the following in mind when bringing your bike to the circuit:
- Bikes and E-bikes are permitted on Silverstone internal roads only, in line with the Road Traffic Act
- Riding through the paddocks is not permitted
- Pathways and designated pedestrian areas are not permitted for cycling
- Do not lock your bike to the Grandstand as it will be removed for safety reasons
- If you leave your bike unattended anywhere on site, it is at your own risk
- Please wear a helmet and ride safely, being mindful of your fellow fans at all times
EAPC Requirements
Electric bikes, known as electrically assisted pedal cycles (EAPCs), are welcome on site provided they meet the following requirements. You can ride an EAPC if you are 14 years old or over.
Your bike must have pedals that can be used to propel it, and it must display either:
- The power output
- The manufacturer of the motor
It must also display either:
- The battery voltage
- The maximum speed of the bike
The electric motor must:
- Have a maximum power output of 250 watts
- Not be able to propel the bike when travelling at more than 15.5mph
Please note that EAPCs can have more than two wheels, for example a tricycle. If your bike meets the EAPC requirements it is classed as a normal pedal bike and can be ridden on roadways and cycle paths. If your bike does not meet the EAPC requirements, it is not permitted for use on site.
